The most important question for any seller

There is a special issue that is more important than any other when it comes to what you are selling. The simple question creates or destroys your own motivation in the sales process, which in turn rubs off on customers who just can't decide whether to buy or not.

The issue is so important that all your financial success is at stake, but not only that. There are even worse losses to do. Your self-esteem, sleep and professional pride are also very much at stake here.

Want to hear the question now? Here it comes:

Would you buy your own product or service and be satisfied with it if you were buying it for yourself?

If you are a person with normal emotions you must be able to give a resounding YES in response to that question. Seller is a noble title - if it helps its customers to become better, richer, and have more fun.

But the seller is also a destructive profession if you feel that you hide things and ”managed to lure a new customer into purchasing something that I know won't do them any good.”

And there is, of course, a gray area - where most sellers are - the place is called ”Rock hard competition” where many people sell similar products or services.

The best part is that there is so much you can do to whip your rivals off the track. It requires a little extra time, but can be solved with another question:

What can you add to your product or service that your competitors are missing and that would make you happy if you were shopping for yourself?

Think about it – it's a master key to customers' hearts!
