Start your own business - why?

Why do you want to start a business - really? Would you do it because you've got an awesome idea? Or is it that you want to realize a dream? Maybe you are tired of your crackpot of a boss and feel that you can do the job better on your own. Whatever reason you have to start your own business, it's important that you know that it will require a lot of work. If I were to make a list of ten conditions that need to be met by anyone wanting to succeed in starting their own business, it would look like this:

1. You have a good idea.
2. You've always dreamed of starting your own business.
3. You have time and energy to start it now.
4. You think life as an employee is too slow and too boring.
5. You are in good physical and mental condition and you have lots of energy.
6. You can cope with heavy pressure and making your own decisions.
7. You have an environment that will support you and your business.
8. You are interested in marketing and sales.
9. You are interested to learn everything about administration.
10. You are willing to eat, sleep and live your mission for at least a year before you expect to get paid for your efforts.

Can you do this? Good! Then you've won half the battle.
