How to let technology work for your business so you don´t have to

Nothing can compete with a personal meeting, a personal discussion. But one of the aspects of successful sales is to let technology work better for you. Today, in our busy society, time is everything. Everyone is so busy, that we have to learn to cut corners.
What's your message on your answering machine?
Is it really enough to change the message every six months or would you benefit from doing it every morning to show customers that you are active and interested?

”Today is August 28th - I will be able to call you back by 2 pm.”

Would it show your customers that you're always up to date? Would it make a difference to your customers?
Would it make a difference to your sales?

Order opportunities
Do your customers get every chance to order differently today? Can they do it via fax, email, telephone, text messages? Can they do it when they want on an answering machine? Are they really familiar with all the possibilities there are to order from you? Basically, you just want the customer to think about ordering from you to make the order complete and ready to go. Work hard to get as close to the point as you can.

How many do you have? Do you have one with a CRM system - another that is connected to the Internet - a third in which you write sales letters and use for other communication purposes?
Do you think it's overkill to use so many computers? It's not. Computers are cheap and you can actually use many different functions on the same computer, it works fine, and I'm not saying you should have three computers. All I'm saying is that if it makes you more efficient, you should consider getting a few more computers instead of worrying about the extra costs of purchasing them. There is no natural law that says one person equals one computer. However, there is a natural law that says one person equals maximum sales and everything that supports it is good.

The best sellers have effective software that keeps track of customers, potential customers and makes sure that your brain doesn't get overheated.

Digital memory recorder
If there was a prize for the one who spoke most highly of digital memory recorders, I would get it. Seriously, I couldn't handle half of what I do during the day if it wasn't for my digital memory recorder - I have three of them. Some of us are doomed to outsource our brains like this. Are you?
