How to increase profitability of your store

I've been thinking about the small changes that can increase profits in your store. Ask yourself these questions and see what you think for yourself:

What would happen to the profitability of your store...

1. If everyone who sells learns to propose the next logical purchase for every customer?

2. If all your employees learned that all customers must be offered the opportunity to purchase a complementary product as well?

3. If customers buying more expensive things would always get a letter by mail with a brochure that includes complementary products and where they are encouraged to call or return to the store within a certain time to get discounts on the products mentioned in the letter?

4. If part of your employee's success was determined by how many customers they have inspired to buy additional products?

5. If customers buying more expensive products get a call from a salesman who tells them about complementary products and give them an offer right away over the phone?

And imagine what would happen:

6. If you implemented a policy that said you only hire nice, outgoing people who really care about other people?

7. If all the employees smiled and said ”hello” to all the customers they pass by, no matter if you work as a salesman or at the warehouse, whether it's a client of his/her department or not?

8. If all of your vendors were encouraged to follow each customer to the door and open it too after a purchase?

9. If your salespeople asked customers if they need help carrying things they bought to the car?

Would this change your profitability for the better? I think so!
