How to get the news to be up to date

A news flash about your company in a magazine is old the day after, but it can still work as marketing tool for you for years.

Here are five tips:

1. Add a link to the article on your own website. We are all busy and may have missed the article. Furthermore, make it available for other journalists who will see that your business is worth reporting about for others. You will, of course, tell your customers and other people who might be interested as well.

2. Use quotes or order reprints of articles for your own printed marketing materials. It will impress your current clients and the customers that you want to attract.

3. Restaurants are great at framing press clippings and reviews of their business. Why are so few others doing the same? You can use an entire wall at the company with press cuttings for your customers and visitors to see.
Buy expensive frames because the information is valuable.

4. Enclose press clippings to use as an inciter of interest together with your sales letter/the sample when you try to land an important client.

5. Show people how excited you are with the attention by talking about it to the customers and give them a discount on anything in particular or add something extra with the purchase because” XX-magazine wrote that ....”
