How to get others to want to link to your website

You already know that your rankings with the search engines in particular are affected by how many other websites link to you - but what can you do to make others want to link to your website? We're going to talk about this today and it's so easy that you can't afford to sneak off and miss it!

This is everything you have to do?

1. Set aside two hours this week. Take out a notepad and a sharpened pencil.

2. Go to the search engines and look for those that link to your competitors. On Google, for example, type “link: www.yourcompetitorsname.com” and you will find out who links to your competitors.

3. Check out all the sites you can find and see if there is an easy way to just suggest your website as a link tip - if not, what do you think you have to do with your website to be included? Do it.

4. Post a text on your website's most visited page/pages where you encourage visitors to link to your website.

5. Consider every day what you can do to make your website become popular to link to. What can you add, change or do more of on your site?
