How to become your customer´s favorite

Every day is a (fun) fight for your business. You must do a lot of things to be on your customers' favorite list.

Here are 8 tips on how to keep you on top:

1. Stay informed about what's happening in your industry. Keep track of what your competitors are doing and what they plan on doing.

2. Stay informed about what the market wants by asking your customers (yes, it's that simple).

3. Try to be a creative problem-solver for your customers. Few employees have the energy to think about the next step - good for you.

4. Build relationships with partners. Tell them what you want to accomplish, they will help you out.

5. Build strategic partnerships to make more people sell your business idea.

6. Never forget the enthusiasm you felt when you started your business. It's in those very thoughts you will find your enthusiasm when business are too slow.

7. Always think ahead - imagine a year, three years, maybe even five years from now in order to choose the right paths for your business.

8. Become a master at evaluating everything you do so that you learn to be flexible and can change. The biggest advantage you have as a sole trader is the ability to change direction quicker than your larger and slower competitors.

9. A smart thing to do as self-employed is to pretend that you are employed and that customers are your managers who have the right to fire you every day. It makes it easy to maintain a professional attitude towards everything you do.
