How to become more efficient every day

Do you have far too many items on your agenda? Welcome to the club!

Here is how to free more time every day:

1. Get up earlier in the morning.
2. Think hard about what you will do during the day - and write it down on a piece of paper.
3. Check your emails at specific times only.
4. Eat lunch at your desk if you don't have a lunch date - read reports while you eat or are engaged in private conversations while eating lunch.
5. Find out when you are most productive – I'm usually most productive at 10 pm.
6. Evaluate your daily tasks and try to ignore those that really don't matter so much.
7. Evaluate meetings before you decide to participate.
8. Spend less time on pointless phone calls. Turn off your phone when you're doing something that requires your full attention
9. Do the hardest first - reward yourself for every annoying thing that you complete.
10. Don't let other people waste your time - separate work and leisure - and let your friends know that you do.

That's how easy it is to free more time every day. Try it yourself!
