Everything starts outside the store – this is how you can attract customers

The first impression customers get from your store is how the outside looks - the door, storefront and the signs. The display window is simply your cheapest and also your most effective ad because it can tell people what your store is about and what customers can expect to find inside.

Consider this:
Have you ever noticed that most of the storefronts are made to be seen from the front? Think about how your customers approach the store. Will customers pass by it from the side, as they usually do, and if a store sign can only be placed on the window, then the passersby won't see it as easily. The same applies to your products. Place them at an angle. It's smart to put signs at an angle, maybe the same plate at an angle on both sides of the window so that people can see it, no matter what angle you approaching the store from. It might look a bit weird if you look at it from the front, but that's not how most people will see it.

When you check your signage, walk away from the store and then approach it while you’re just passing by real fast. Will people see what you want them to see? Is there something that makes you take special notice of? The faster you walk, the narrower the field of view. If you can't see what you want to see from a distance – but only when you face the store from the front – then peoples’ desire to enter the store will decrease.
