Create a rock solid relationship with your customers

Everyone knows that a good relationship with customers makes it easier to sleep at night. And especially for those with a few large customers that account for the bulk of the revenues. They may suddenly tell you that they need to move on and make you stand there with lots of bills - all because you took the customer for granted.

Let's make sure that never happens. Today you'll get tips on how to keep better track of customers and their plans, so you will get to play with them in the future as well.

1. Stop taking customers for granted. It's more an attitude than a concrete action, but it's a great attitude.

2. Ask customers what they have going on and what you can do to help them reach their goals. If you do it right they will begin to think of your company as a partner and not just as another vendor.
3. What challenges are they facing? If you notice that they are moving in a particular direction where you don't have the necessary skills, it may be sensible to acquire the skills. Either you get it or you get a partner to make you offer your customers the help they need.

4. Ask yourself what skills you would need to take a step closer to the customer. Ask the customer what they would dream to have delivered from the outside.

5. Surprise your customers with something. This is also an important attitude. What can you do to give your client/customer a nice good surprise to facilitate his/her job?

Think about it ...
