9 reasons why you and I and everyone else buy things

Marketers sometimes makes things too complicated because of their eagerness to be cool, slick and trendy and they just don't realize that the needs that make people buy things everyday are quite simple.

Today, you'll  get a lovely little task. We'll first quickly check why we buy things and you can check whether the stuff you are selling satisfies some of the most common reasons for why people like you and I would want to open our wallets.

Here are nine reasons why you and I buy things:

1. We want to make more money (have a higher salary or have more money.)

2. We want to save money (we want to save for a major purchase, feel secure or just know that we have money left over for other things.)

3. We want to save time (work less, make time for more important things.)

4. We want to look better (not only better looking, but also look better in the eyes of the world.)

5. We want to learn something new (for self-gratification or to achieve goals.)

6. We want to live longer (get in shape, eat better, feel more healthy.)

7. We want to be comfortable (get rid of problems of various kinds, have a more comfortable life without hassles.)

8. We want to be loved (of course!)

9. We want to be popular (admired, respected - all lights on ME, thank you!)

Your task:
Take each of these points and consider how you can help your customers fulfill their desires if they buy from you and you will get lots of wonderful arguments for your marketing campaign.
